The Story
Katrina’s on the rebound from a failed relationship and falls for wealthy widower Stefanis whilst on holiday in Greece. Though only half his age, she marries him.
Her lavish lifestyle, a sixty foot yacht, Kat-ste, and a beautiful home in Miami are the envy of her friends and family, so when her relationship begins to crack, Katrina covers it up.
Childless and miserable, she needs to confide in someone, but can’t find the courage – until professional skipper Brod appears on the scene.
In a two-week holiday aboard Kat-ste with her brother and close friends, Caroline and Simon, Katrina rediscovers her youth and opens her heart to Brod. If he gives into his emotions, he could save her from a marriage built on lies, but he has to weigh this up against his professionalism and the reputation he could lose.
Complications and misunderstandings cloud the issue, and a forced move to the Greek island of Zakynthos for Katrina causes even more anguish. When she makes a horrific discovery and later becomes heartbroken in grief, she has to brave it all alone.
Without money or a passport, there is only one way out and that’s on Kat-ste.
But an insanely jealous Stefanis won’t let her go that easily. Nothing seems too high a price for him to pay to get Katrina back, and he’s determined to achieve it.
Set in the early 1980s, The Whispering Waters is a fast paced romantic thriller with a plot that twists and turns with shocks and surprises along the way.
